WHY:

As for the banker, COLOURFUL WINNER held a higher class edge over most of this field.
In theory, MAX QUE is of a similar class level to COLOURFUL WINNER, but its preferred running style clashes with several other strong contenders, so it is more suitable to use as a supporting leg rather than as the key banker.

According to the guideline that two horses whose running profiles are in direct conflict rarely both make the frame (top three), QUICK CONTRIBUTION and SPIRIT OF PEACE, whose running styles collide with that of MAX QUE, naturally cannot be treated as other primary supporting picks. TOP PEAK is therefore brought in to fill that role.

Similarly, based on the principle that two MID-type runners (Mid horses in our profiling system) find it hard to both hit the frame together, once TOP PEAK has already occupied one Mid slot, instead of siding with both KA YING RADIANCE and SPIRIT OF PEACE, it makes more sense to consider other options such as SWEET BRIAR, STAR SATYR and ENJOY GOLF.

It should be emphasised that in actual betting we would not necessarily end up choosing STAR SATYR; it is simply that, compared with the two older horses, its upside is not yet fully exposed, and its running style is also more flexible.
