WHY:
DO YOUR PART had previously just edged out SMART FAT CAT, the only runner in the Strong Tier, and the race-shape analysis for this event also indicated that it had no rivals with a clashing run-style. For that reason, it was used as the key anchor horse.
On paper, RAGING RAPIDS had been beaten by ONLY U, but in that race it was badly held up until the 100‑metre mark, so that defeat is not a fair reflection of its ability. RAGING RAPIDS has already beaten today’s Weak Tier runner CARRYON SMILING, has been largely ignored by the market in its recent starts, and is expected to have greater tactical flexibility in terms of run-style. Compared with the other Mid Tier runners, it therefore most deserved to be used as a supporting leg.
WORLD HERO also had a favourable race shape, but it offered fewer positives than RAGING RAPIDS, and in the end it finished fourth at a shorter price. That outcome underlined that, from a value perspective, it was less attractive than RAGING RAPIDS.
